Isaiah 54: 2-3: Enlarge the place of your tent,     stretch your tent curtains wide,     do not hold back; lengthen your cords,     strengthen your stakes. 3 For you will spread out to the right and to the left;     your descendants will dispossess nations     and settle in their desolate cities. We are on the final countdown to two morning services. If you come at 10am next week you’ll be in the middle of a service. Our service times are going to be: 9am and 11:15am. When I was a lad I’d go to the movies. It’s not like now where you get allocate seating. Then you got you ticket and could sit anywhere. Also, you could turn up half-way through the movie, sit through to the end, wait ten minutes, and watch the start of it up to the point you came in. Some of you are thinking of taking up that option. This is a shorter message today as we are in holiday season and the kids are staying in.  1 Timothy 2: 1-7: I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people – 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Saviour, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time. 7 And for this purpose I was appointed a herald and an apostle – I am telling the truth, I am not lying – and a true and faithful teacher of the Gentiles.
